Andhra Pradesh Minister Anagani Satya Prasad Addresses Revenue Issues and Initiates Solutions
Andhra Pradesh Minister for Revenue, Stamps, and Registrations, Anagani Satya Prasad, recently provided updates on the ongoing regional revenue conferences being held across the state. These conferences, which are taking place with district collectors and joint collectors, aim to address public grievances and improve the efficiency of land-related processes.
According to Minister Anagani, 32 types of complaints have been consistently raised during these sessions, with a significant number related to the Record of Rights (ROR) issues. More than one lakh petitions concerning ROR have been filed, and around 7,000 petitions regarding re-survey disputes have been recorded. Efforts are being made to resolve these grievances during the ongoing conferences, which are set to conclude on January 8. Following this, an additional five days of revenue conferences will be held in the Uttarandhra region after Sankranti.
Anagani also provided updates on the re-survey process, which is scheduled to resume on January 20. The re-survey will be carried out block-wise, with a daily target of 20 acres per day. Each mandal will have a pilot project to guide the process.
Addressing irregularities during the previous government’s tenure, Anagani revealed that 13 lakh acres of land had been converted to freehold, with 4 lakh acres allegedly converted illegally. Registrations for 25,000 acres had been completed, and a preliminary decision has been made to cancel the registrations for 7,000 acres.
Additionally, Minister Anagani assured the public that steps are being taken to regulate land registration values, especially in areas with fluctuating land prices in growth corridors. The adjustments will ensure that registration values reflect the actual market value of the land.
These efforts underline the government’s commitment to resolving land-related issues, ensuring transparency, and providing effective solutions for the citizens of Andhra Pradesh.
