Telangana Chief Minister Announces Ambitious Development Plans for Hyderabad and Rangareddy District
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy unveiled ambitious plans on Sunday, declaring the development of a new city comparable to New York at Maheswaram near Hyderabad and transforming the Rachakonda area into a hub akin to Ooty for the film-making industry.
During the distribution of safety kits among toddy tappers in Abdullahpur, on the outskirts of the city, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also announced the imminent extension of the Hyderabad Metro Rail up to Hayat Nagar, detailing comprehensive plans already in motion.
Highlighting future initiatives, Revanth Reddy emphasized the forthcoming substantial development of Rangareddy district, earmarking it for transformation into a world-class tourism destination. Plans include establishing universities, a medical tourism hub, and industrial zones on land slated for pharma companies.
In a pointed critique directed at his predecessor and BRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao, Revanth Reddy underscored past achievements during Congress rule, citing the development of key infrastructure like the Outer Ring Road, the international airport, and Pharma City. He criticized the previous administration for alleged failures in governance, accusing them of neglecting significant issues and focusing on controversial activities.
Addressing recent political dynamics, Revanth Reddy expressed confidence in Congress’s long-term governance prospects, asserting plans to overcome inherited financial challenges and steer the state towards sustained growth and prosperity.
The Chief Minister’s remarks underscore a robust vision for Telangana’s future, aiming for comprehensive development across various sectors to bolster economic vitality and infrastructure readiness in the region.
