Rakul Preet Singh’s Brother Amanpreet Singh Arrested in Drugs Case
Hyderabad: Amanpreet Singh, brother of Telugu actress Rakul Preet Singh, has been apprehended by the Cyberabad police in connection with a drugs-related incident, as reported by Telugu channels.
Reports indicate that Amanpreet Singh was arrested while allegedly purchasing drugs from four individuals of Nigerian origin. Law enforcement officials reportedly seized 200 grams of cocaine valued at ₹2 crores from the suspects before taking them into custody. Amanpreet Singh was also arrested on charges of being the alleged buyer in this case.
This development comes amidst previous scrutiny faced by Rakul Preet Singh herself in connection with the drugs and money laundering investigation. The actress has been summoned multiple times by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the past to probe her alleged involvement in the drug racket and possible suspicious financial transactions.
In September 2021, Rakul Preet Singh appeared before the ED in Hyderabad, enduring lengthy questioning regarding her potential links to the case. During the interrogation, the agency had requested her bank statements to scrutinize any transactions deemed suspicious.
