Telugu Film Industry Stars Rally for Flood Relief with Generous Donations
In a display of solidarity and generosity, numerous celebrities from the Telugu film industry have come forward to support flood relief efforts in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The devastating floods, exacerbated by recent heavy rains, have prompted an outpouring of financial contributions from prominent figures in the entertainment industry.
Leading the way in charitable donations are actors Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, and Jr NTR, each pledging Rs. 1 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for both states. Other notable contributions include Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s Rs. 30 lakhs and Vishwak Sen’s Rs. 10 lakhs.
The latest additions to this list are Rebel Star Prabhas and Icon Star Allu Arjun. Prabhas has announced a substantial donation of Rs. 2 crores, with Rs. 1 crore allocated to each state. Allu Arjun has pledged Rs. 1 crore, with Rs. 50 lakhs designated for each state.
In a heartfelt message on social media platform X, Allu Arjun expressed his concern for those affected by the floods, stating, “I’m saddened by the loss and suffering caused by the devastating rains in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. In these challenging times, I humbly donate ₹1 crore in total to the CM Relief Funds of both states to support the relief efforts. Praying for everyone’s safety.”
The continuous rainfall over the past few days has caused severe flooding in many regions of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. In response, the governments of both states are working tirelessly to provide aid and rescue operations for those impacted by the disaster.
