BRS MLA G Jagdish Reddy Accuses Telangana Government of Failing Flood-Affected Residents
Hyderabad: G Jagdish Reddy, MLA from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), has sharply criticized the Telangana government for its alleged failure to assist flood-affected individuals. Speaking on Sunday, September 8, Reddy claimed that many people remain stranded in flooded areas with no intervention from government officials. He expressed frustration over the unfulfilled promise of immediate Rs 10,000 compensation, accusing the chief minister and the cabinet of inaction.
Reddy also targeted the Congress government over the issue of farmer loan waivers. He demanded swift implementation of the waiver scheme, highlighting that banks are pressuring farmers to withdraw more than Rs 2 lakhs to qualify for the waiver.
Additionally, Reddy accused the state government of attempting to stifle Opposition voices by obstructing their efforts to assist flood victims. He criticized the government for preventing access to those in need, further escalating tensions between the ruling and opposition parties.
