Andhra Pradesh Government Permits Special Shows and Ticket Price Hike for Jr NTR’s Devara
The Andhra Pradesh government has granted permission for special shows and increased ticket prices for the highly anticipated film Devara, starring Jr NTR. The decision has been met with enthusiasm from the production house and the actor himself, who expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.
In response to the appreciation, Pawan Kalyan took to Twitter to share his support for Devara, while also highlighting the challenges faced by the film industry under the current regime led by Jagan Mohan Reddy. Pawan stated, “The NDA government in AP, under the leadership of Hon CM Sri Chandrababu garu, will always want the best for the Telugu film industry, irrespective of political affiliations. We respect that.”
However, he did not shy away from critiquing the YSR Congress Party (YCP) government, asserting, “We will never stoop down like the YCP government, which troubles filmmakers and actors. I personally know the hardships they have endured during the YCP regime. I wish you the very best for your film release.”
Pawan’s remarks carry significant weight, especially considering his own experiences during the YCP government, where he faced obstacles with the releases of his films Vakeel Saab and Bheemla Nayak. Jagan’s administration imposed unreasonably low ticket prices for these films, impacting their financial performance.
Now, as Deputy Chief Minister, Pawan Kalyan appears committed to fostering a more supportive environment for the film industry, aiming to create a positive atmosphere for filmmakers and actors. His proactive stance signals a shift toward nurturing the local cinema landscape, especially in light of the challenges previously faced under the current ruling party.
