Nagarjuna Pursues Defamation Case Against Congress Minister Konda Surekha
In the wake of derogatory remarks made by Congress Minister Konda Surekha, the film industry has rallied around Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nagarjuna, leading to significant backlash against the minister. KTR has sent a legal notice, while Nagarjuna has initiated a defamation case, taking the matter to a more serious level.
In a recent exclusive interview with Zoom, Nagarjuna revealed that they are in the process of filing an additional defamation lawsuit worth ₹100 crore against Konda Surekha. He expressed his strong discontent regarding her comments, stating, “Her outrageous comments cannot be allowed to slide under the crack.” Although Surekha has publicly apologized to Samantha, Nagarjuna emphasized that she has yet to extend any apology to him or his family.
When questioned about the possibility of withdrawing the lawsuits if Surekha were to apologize to him, Nagarjuna firmly responded, “No, not at all.” He elaborated that the issue has escalated beyond personal grievances, indicating that the slander has affected not just him, but the broader reputation of his family.
Acknowledging the lengthy legal battle ahead, Nagarjuna remarked, “I am fully aware that these defamation cases take years, and I am ready for the fight ahead.” This determination underscores the seriousness with which he and his family view the situation, especially following Konda Surekha’s earlier insinuations that KTR was a contributing factor to the divorce between Naga Chaitanya and Samantha.
As the situation unfolds, the film industry continues to stand united in support of Nagarjuna and Samantha, emphasizing the importance of accountability and respect in public discourse.
