Uddhav Thackeray Admitted to Hospital Amid Political Critique
Mumbai: Uddhav Thackeray, President of the Shiv Sena (UBT) and former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, has been admitted to Reliance Hospital in Mumbai due to health concerns. Thackeray, who has a history of angioplasty, is currently undergoing tests to identify potential blockages in his heart arteries, with an angiography expected to follow.
His hospitalization comes shortly after he addressed his party’s annual Dussehra rally at Shivaji Park, where he delivered pointed remarks against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Thackeray urged the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) to reflect on whether the current “hybrid BJP” aligns with its values.
In a strong critique of his former ally, Thackeray expressed disappointment at the BJP’s claim to be “Bharatiya,” likening the party to the Kauravas and accusing it of arrogance. He emphasized the need for accountability and change within the political landscape.
Additionally, Thackeray made a bold promise to construct temples dedicated to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in every district of Maharashtra, should his party return to power in the upcoming assembly elections. His comments and hospitalization have drawn significant attention as the political climate in Maharashtra continues to evolve.
