Malayalam Actor Bala Arrested Following Ex-Wife’s Complaint Over Social Media Posts

Malayalam actor Bala, also known as Balakumar, has been arrested following a complaint lodged by his ex-wife, Amrutha Suresh, regarding his social media activities. Bala and his manager, Rajesh, were taken into custody on Monday morning and are currently being questioned by authorities. They are expected to be presented in court later today.

Amrutha accused Bala of using social media to insult her and claimed that his posts have emotionally harmed their 12-year-old daughter. She asserted that Bala violated their divorce agreement, which explicitly prohibits personal attacks against each other. In her complaint, she stated, “He is constantly disturbing me and my daughter, even giving paid online interviews about us.”

As a result of these allegations, Bala faces charges of outraging the modesty of a woman, along with additional charges under juvenile justice laws. Notably, all the charges brought against him are non-bailable, which could lead to significant legal consequences.

The situation escalated further when Bala previously accused Amrutha of obstructing his access to their daughter. The young girl recently shared a video on Instagram, expressing the emotional distress she and her mother have experienced due to her father’s behavior.
