Telangana Health Minister Lays Foundation for Irrigation Projects in Sangareddy District
Telangana Health Minister C. Damodar Raja Narasimha laid the foundation for an important irrigation project in Manoor mandal, Sangareddy district. This initiative aims to enhance agricultural productivity by providing irrigation water to local farmers.
The project encompasses the construction of two field gravity mains along the banks of the Manjeera River in Borancha, specifically designed to irrigate 2,900 acres in Manoor mandal. The total outlay for this component of the project is ₹4.35 crore. Additionally, the minister announced that the second field gravity main will be developed with an investment of ₹2.59 crore, aimed at supplying irrigation water to 500 acres in Regodu mandal, Medak district.
Minister Narasimha emphasized the significance of the project, stating that it would foster prosperity in eight villages across the two mandals, thus contributing to the region’s overall development and agricultural sustainability.
The event was attended by Zaheerabad MP Suresh Shetkar, MLA Narayankhed Patlolla Sanjeeva Reddy, and other local dignitaries, highlighting the collective support for enhancing irrigation facilities in the region. This initiative is expected to play a crucial role in improving the livelihoods of farmers and boosting agricultural output in the area.
