KTR Questions Secret Meeting Between Telangana Minister and Adani Group
Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) has raised significant concerns regarding a clandestine meeting that allegedly took place between Telangana Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and representatives from the Adani Group. KTR’s allegations come in the wake of recent Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids on Reddy’s properties, which have sparked questions about possible improprieties.
In a post on X, KTR noted, “One month since ED raids on Telangana Revenue Minister Ponguleti, not a single word from @dir_ed or BJP or Congress!! No case filed even after media reports of huge quantities of money being found, etc. Right after the raids, Adani was in Hyderabad and had a secret meeting with Minister Ponguleti. What’s the quid pro quo here? Any guesses?”
KTR’s remarks come amid swirling allegations of financial misconduct surrounding Minister Reddy, who has yet to face formal charges despite the ongoing scrutiny. The ED conducted extensive raids on September 27 at multiple locations associated with Reddy, including his residences and offices in Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills, as well as a farmhouse near Himayat Sagar.
These raids involved 16 teams of ED officials and were part of an investigation into alleged money laundering activities linked to Reddy’s son, Harsha Reddy. Reports suggest that Harsha Reddy is under investigation for engaging in hawala transactions and purchasing luxury watches worth crores using questionable means, including cryptocurrency payments.
The lack of a formal case against Minister Reddy has led to heightened scrutiny from opposition leaders and the public alike, raising questions about accountability and transparency within the state government. KTR’s statements have intensified calls for clarity regarding the nature of the alleged meeting with the Adani Group and the broader implications for governance in Telangana.
