Rahul Gandhi to Attend DISHA Meeting and Inaugurate Development Projects in Raebareli
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is set to participate in key local events and attend the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting in his parliamentary constituency, Raebareli, on Tuesday. Arriving in the city earlier this morning, Gandhi will inaugurate a beautification project at the Degree College intersection, a municipal initiative aimed at enhancing the locality.
Following the inauguration, he will lay the foundation stone for several roads under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), part of a broader effort to improve infrastructure in the region. Gandhi will then attend the DISHA meeting, which is focused on addressing public welfare issues and reviewing various government schemes, including the MGNREGA and the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
This marks Gandhi’s first official interaction with local officials since resuming his role as a Member of Parliament, emphasizing his continued engagement with constituents and development work in the region. The DISHA committees, formed by the Union Ministry of Rural Development, aim to enhance coordination between MPs, state legislatures, and local government bodies for effective implementation of welfare programs.
