Rahul Gandhi Enjoys Sugarcane Juice and Interacts with Women in Nanded Ahead of Maharashtra Polls
Nanded: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took a brief but engaging detour from his campaign trail in Nanded on Thursday, stopping at a popular street-side sugarcane juice stall after addressing a rally in the central Maharashtra city, ahead of the November 20 state assembly elections.
After delivering his speech at the rally, Gandhi’s convoy made a stop at the Central Bus Stand, where he interacted with local women. During the conversation, he highlighted the welfare schemes implemented by the ruling Mahayuti government and emphasized what the Opposition’s Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance would do for the people if they came to power.
In a down-to-earth gesture, Gandhi also treated himself, along with his security personnel, to fresh sugarcane juice, a popular refreshment at bus stands throughout Maharashtra. According to onlookers, the Congress leader paid Rs 200 for ten glasses of the juice.
The impromptu stop and his interaction with the locals reflected Gandhi’s attempt to connect with the common people while campaigning in the region. With just days left before the state elections, the Congress leader’s outreach appears aimed at reinforcing the party’s message of grassroots-level engagement and addressing the concerns of everyday citizens.
