Bihar CM Nitish Kumar to Distribute Appointment Letters to Over 1.14 Lakh Special Teachers
Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will officially distribute appointment letters to 1,14,138 special teachers on Wednesday at an event at Patna’s Convention Hall. The ceremony, attended by prominent leaders such as Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, Education Minister Sunil Kumar, and others, marks a significant step in strengthening Bihar’s education system.
The appointment letters will be given to 200 teachers at the Convention Hall, while the remaining teachers across Bihar will receive theirs from district-level officers. These appointees will become official state employees, including 98,349 primary teachers, 12,524 secondary teachers, and 3,265 higher secondary teachers.
This initiative highlights the state government’s commitment to improving education and creating employment opportunities. Additionally, Bihar’s teacher transfer policy has been temporarily halted following a directive from the Patna High Court. Transfers will only be processed after the completion of five phases of a competency examination.
