Pawan Kalyan Clarifies Role on Police Matters, Criticizes Past Government Mismanagement
Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Kalyan, recently made significant comments regarding law enforcement and governance during a media interaction in Delhi. Emphasizing that home affairs and law and order fall outside his jurisdiction, he stated, “Let the police do their job, and I will focus on mine.” Kalyan stressed the importance of speaking responsibly, stating he would bring any concerns about law enforcement inefficiencies to the Chief Minister’s attention.
Addressing questions about delays in apprehending troublemakers, Kalyan committed to tackling such issues through the appropriate channels. He also took aim at the previous government, accusing it of a lack of accountability, transparency, and responsibility. He highlighted alleged misuse of public funds, claiming that the former administration spent ₹9 crore on snacks.
Kalyan’s remarks came after meeting Union Ministers C.R. Patil and Gajendra Shekhawat during his visit to Delhi.
