YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Criticizes Alliance Government for Growing Public Discontent

YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has sharply criticized the current alliance government, claiming that public dissatisfaction has reached unprecedented levels in just six months since its formation. Speaking at a meeting in Tadepalli with party general secretaries, secretaries, and district presidents, Jagan highlighted the growing frustration among the people and the increasing pressure on alliance leaders, who are facing public backlash wherever they go.

Jagan expressed his concern over the inefficiency of key government institutions in the state, alleging that essential schemes and services are being neglected. He pointed out that the fee reimbursement program, which has accrued an estimated ₹2,800 crore in arrears, is still pending, with expectations of further delays by January. Additionally, ₹1,100 crore for the Vasathi Deevena scheme and overdue Aarogyasri healthcare bills, which have been pending for nine months, remain unresolved. The YSRCP chief also raised the issue of unpaid salaries for employees working in the 104 and 108 ambulance services for the past four months.

The YSRCP leader further criticized the government’s plans to hike electricity charges, stressing that such measures come at a time when farmers are already struggling due to the impact of heavy rains. Jagan also accused the government of filing false cases against those who question its actions, intensifying the sense of dissatisfaction among the public.

Addressing issues related to basic resources, Jagan claimed that sand prices have doubled since the YSRCP’s tenure, and he alleged that liquor shops are now being controlled by former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and his associates, with belt shops being auctioned for ₹2 to ₹3 lakh each.

Emphasizing the importance of speaking up for the people, Jagan urged his party members, particularly district presidents, to take a more active role in addressing public grievances and ensuring that the concerns of the people are heard and acted upon. His comments highlight the growing tension within the political landscape as dissatisfaction with the alliance government continues to rise.
