BRS MLC Kavitha Condemns Shadnagar MLA’s Derogatory Remarks on Velama Community
Hyderabad: Kalvakuntla Kavitha, BRS MLC, has strongly condemned the controversial remarks made by Shadnagar Congress MLA Veerlapalli Shankar about the Velama community. The remarks have sparked outrage, with representatives of the Velama community filing a formal complaint at the police station, accusing the MLA of making derogatory comments.
Kavitha expressed her disapproval of Shankar’s comments, emphasizing that such language is unbecoming of a public representative. She questioned whether the remarks were Shankar’s personal views or if they reflected the official stance of the Congress party. Kavitha demanded that Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud provide clarity on their position regarding the MLA’s statements.
