Allu Arjun Donates 25 Lakh to Family of Deceased Woman at Sandhya Theatre
The tragic death of a woman, Revathi, at the Sandhya Theatre on December 4th during the screening of Pushpa has shocked many. In response, Icon star Allu Arjun, on behalf of the Pushpa team, issued a heartfelt statement expressing his condolences and announcing a generous donation of 25 lakh rupees to the grieving family as a goodwill gesture.
“I am deeply heartbroken by the tragic incident at Sandhya Theatre. My heartfelt condolences go out to the grieving family during this unimaginably difficult time. I want to assure them that they are not alone in this pain and will personally meet the family. While respecting their need for space to grieve, I stand committed to extending every possible assistance to help them navigate through this challenging journey,” Allu Arjun shared in a video on social media.
Allu Arjun further expressed his shock and disappointment upon hearing the news. “For the last 25 years, it has been a tradition for us to watch films in the main theatre. Upon learning about this incident, we were left in a state of shock and were not in the mood to participate in the Pushpa celebrations,” he said.
Reflecting on the situation, he added, “We make movies for audiences to enjoy in theatres, but I am at a loss for words this time. I offer my condolences to Revathi garu’s family.”
Although the loss can never be fully compensated, Allu Arjun emphasized that the family would have emotional support during this difficult time. He also shared his commitment to securing the family’s future by donating 25 lakh rupees. “We will try to be there for the family as much as possible, and team Pushpa will also take care of any medical expenses incurred,” he added.
In closing, Allu Arjun expressed his disappointment over the tragic incident, urging caution in theatres. “We make movies for the audiences. But, when something like this happens, our energies also come down. We intend to create entertainment, and I request everyone to be careful in theatres,” he concluded.
