Victim’s Husband Speaks Out on Sandhya Theatre Stampede, Defends Allu Arjun
The tragic stampede at Sandhya Theatre, which resulted in the death of a woman and left her son hospitalized, has sparked significant controversy, especially with the arrest of actor Allu Arjun and subsequent events. While reactions to Allu Arjun’s press conference have been mixed, Telangana CM Revanth Reddy criticized the actor’s visit to the theater, citing the police’s denial of permission for the event.
In the latest development, Bhaskar, the husband of the deceased woman, has addressed the media to share his perspective on the incident. Bhaskar firmly stated that Allu Arjun was not responsible for the tragic event. Expressing his family’s deep admiration for the actor, he revealed that his son is a big fan of Allu Arjun, and they had obtained the tickets through friends. Bhaskar also made it clear that he did not support Allu Arjun’s arrest, particularly because of the hardship it caused the actor’s family.
“Allu Arjun has been supporting us from the second day itself. We did not want to blame anyone. When we learned that Allu Arjun was arrested because of us, we wanted to withdraw the case. We just feel our time was bad,” Bhaskar explained. He recounted the unfortunate sequence of events, describing how he was separated from his family in the chaos. After entering the theater later, he was informed by the police about the tragedy that had occurred.
Bhaskar emphasized the need for continued support, both from the government and Allu Arjun, as his son recovers. “I would expect the same support from the government and Allu Arjun sir until the kid comes back fine,” he said. He also shared the emotional weight of the situation, mentioning that they had not yet informed their daughter about the incident.
In closing, Bhaskar expressed his hope that such an incident would never happen again, underscoring the importance of safety and awareness in crowded situations. “We should have gone that day and should have checked the crowd. It happened to us, and I wish it won’t happen to anyone else again,” he concluded.
