Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Passes Away, Tributes Pour In from Across the Nation

Former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh passed away on Thursday night due to age-related ailments, marking the end of an era in Indian politics. Tributes have been pouring in from all corners of the country, as leaders from various political affiliations expressed their condolences. Prominent figures such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Droupadi Murmu, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, and Chief Ministers of both Telugu states joined the nation in mourning Singh’s loss, describing it as an irreparable blow to the country.

Singh, who served as India’s Prime Minister from 2004 to 2014, was hailed for his quiet yet impactful leadership, particularly for the economic reforms he championed during his tenure as the Finance Minister in 1991. His passing has left a profound void in Indian politics, and his legacy continues to resonate across generations.

Among those paying tribute was noted industrialist and Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani. In a heartfelt post on the social media platform ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), Adani expressed his sorrow over Singh’s death, highlighting the former Prime Minister’s instrumental role in shaping India’s economic trajectory. Adani credited Singh with introducing key economic reforms that, according to him, will be remembered in history for their lasting impact on India’s rebuilding process.

Adani further praised Singh’s leadership style, describing him as a leader who achieved monumental progress with both humility and action. “Dr. Singh’s leadership and grace will remain a masterclass in serving the nation,” Adani wrote, acknowledging the profound influence Singh’s statesmanship had on the country. He concluded by stating that Singh’s legacy would continue to serve as a source of inspiration for future generations.

Manmohan Singh’s passing marks the end of a remarkable chapter in India’s political and economic history, and his contributions will undoubtedly be remembered for years to come.
