Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker Ayyanna Patrudu Requests No New Year Visits in Honor of Dr. Manmohan Singh
In a solemn gesture ahead of the New Year celebrations, Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu has made a significant announcement, urging individuals to refrain from visiting him personally to extend New Year greetings. In accordance with the central government’s declaration of seven days of national mourning for Dr. Singh, Speaker Ayyanna Patrudu has decided that participating in celebratory events during this mourning period would be inappropriate. As a result, he has requested that no visitors come to his residence on January 1 for New Year wishes, urging everyone to observe the solemnity of the moment and honor the late statesman’s legacy.
The decision highlights the Speaker’s commitment to paying tribute to Dr. Singh, reflecting a deep respect for the former Prime Minister’s contributions to the nation.
