Pawan Kalyan Congratulates Padma Awardees from Telugu States
Actor and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan extended his heartfelt congratulations to the distinguished individuals from the Telugu states who were selected for the prestigious Padma Awards. He expressed pride and happiness for their recognition and applauded their extraordinary contributions to their respective fields.
Among the honorees, Kalyan specifically lauded Nandamuri Balakrishna for receiving the Padma Bhushan. The actor, who has been a prominent figure in Telugu cinema for over five decades, was celebrated for his versatile performances on screen as well as his impactful role as the MLA of Hindupur and chairman of the Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital. Pawan Kalyan commended his contributions to both the film industry and public service, stating, “Heartfelt congratulations to Balakrishna.”
The Deputy Chief Minister also expressed his admiration for Dr. D. Nageshwar Reddy, an eminent gastroenterologist who was honored with the Padma Vibhushan for his groundbreaking research in the medical field. Pawan Kalyan recognized the doctor’s exemplary work in healthcare, noting the tremendous impact he has made in advancing medical science.
Kalyan acknowledged the social contributions of Manda Krishna Madiga, founder of the Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS), who was awarded the Padma Shri. Pawan Kalyan highlighted Madiga’s tireless advocacy for the Madiga community’s rights and his work to support differently-abled individuals and sick children.
Additionally, the Deputy Chief Minister praised literary figures Madugula Nagaphani Sharma, K.L. Krishna, and V. Raghavendra Acharya for their valuable contributions in literature and education, which earned them the Padma Shri award.
Pawan Kalyan also expressed appreciation for the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for recognizing “hidden gems” through the Padma awards. He emphasized that the selection of these 30 distinguished awardees was a moment of pride for the nation, with posthumous recognition given to Burrakatha artist Miriyala Apparao for his contributions to the art form.
This year’s Padma Awards serve as a reminder of the remarkable achievements of individuals who have made invaluable contributions to society, from cinema to healthcare, education, and social activism.
