Pawan Kalyan Criticizes Amazon’s Gift Card Policy; Urges Simplification for Expired Balances
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has expressed frustration over Amazon’s handling of expired gift cards, highlighting difficulties in reclaiming unused balances. While adding funds to Amazon gift cards is straightforward, he pointed out that users face significant challenges when trying to recover funds after the cards expire.
In a recent social media post, Pawan Kalyan criticized the convoluted process of retrieving unused funds, which often involves lengthy customer care interactions. He suggested that Amazon should simplify this procedure by automatically transferring expired balances to users’ primary accounts or bank accounts linked to their Amazon profiles, preventing users from losing their hard-earned money.
Calling for more user-friendly and transparent policies, Kalyan emphasized the need for e-commerce platforms to build trust with their users. He also tagged Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and the Reserve Bank of India, urging them to intervene and address this issue.
