Prabhas’ Packed Schedule Delays Kalki 2898 AD Sequel Plans
Pan-India star Prabhas continues to be one of the busiest actors in Indian cinema after the success of Kalki 2898 AD. With multiple ongoing projects, including Raja Saab, Fauji, and Spirit, Prabhas’ packed schedule has led to a delay in the highly anticipated sequel, Kalki 2, directed by Nag Ashwin.
During the shooting of the first part, Ashwin had filmed certain sequences for the sequel, but a significant portion is yet to be completed. The director is now awaiting Prabhas’ availability to resume shooting.
Initially planned for a 2025 shoot and a 2026 release, the sequel’s timeline has been adjusted due to Prabhas’ commitments. The new plan is to release Kalki 2 either at the end of 2026 or in 2027.
This delay highlights the high demand for Prabhas, whose impressive lineup of films has made it difficult to secure dates for even a blockbuster sequel like Kalki 2.
