Dil Raju Announces Gaddar Awards for Best Films (2014-2023)
Renowned film producer and Telangana Film Development Corporation Chairman, Dil Raju, has revealed plans for the prestigious Gaddar Awards to honor the best films of each year from 2014 to 2023. The much-awaited awards ceremony will take place in April, with grand celebrations planned to mark the occasion.
Dil Raju clarified that the Gaddar Awards will not only recognize outstanding Telugu films but also acknowledge Urdu films, showcasing the diverse cinematic landscape. He mentioned that while the award process for 2024 would remain consistent with previous years, certain modifications would be implemented to enhance the overall experience. He further confirmed that the guidelines for the awards have already been finalized.
The producer urged audiences and the industry to avoid turning the awards into a point of controversy. Dil Raju also announced that honorary awards would be presented in the names of legendary figures Paidi Jayaraj and Kanta Rao, honoring their invaluable contributions to the film industry.
Additionally, Dil Raju assured that the application fees for the “Simha” awards would be refunded, ensuring transparency and fairness in the awards process.
This initiative is set to recognize the exceptional talents and contributions to the Telugu and Urdu film industries, while also celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Indian cinema.
