Guntur Court Approves CID Custody for Actor Posani Krishna Murali in Controversial Remarks Case
Guntur, March 17: The Guntur Civil Court has granted the CID police permission to take actor and former YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader Posani Krishna Murali into custody for further investigation. The court issued the order on Monday, and CID officials subsequently took him into custody on Tuesday.
Authorities stated that Posani would first be taken to Guntur Government General Hospital (GGH) for a medical examination before being interrogated at the CID office.
Posani Krishna Murali had previously stirred controversy with his remarks against Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. Additionally, he was accused of presenting morphed images to the media, which added fuel to the controversy. In response, leaders from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Jana Sena Party lodged complaints, prompting the CID police to register a case against him.
As part of the ongoing investigation, the CID filed a petition in court seeking Posani’s custody while he remains lodged in Guntur district jail. The legal proceedings are underway, and further details are expected as the investigation continues.
