Anchor Shyamala Appears for Questioning in Betting App Promotion Case
Anchor Shyamala appeared before the Panjagutta police today for questioning in connection with an ongoing investigation into the promotion of betting apps. This development comes after the TV anchor had earlier filed a quash petition in the Telangana High Court, seeking to have the case against her dismissed.
The High Court had responded by directing the police not to arrest Shyamala and instructed her to cooperate with the investigation. Following the court’s order, Shyamala complied by visiting the Panjagutta police station to participate in the questioning process.
This case is part of a broader investigation, and Shyamala is not the only media personality to have been questioned. Media influencer Reethu Chowdary and TV anchor Vishnupriya have also appeared before the Panjagutta police in relation to the same matter.
The ongoing investigation highlights the increasing scrutiny of individuals involved in promoting online betting platforms, an issue that has raised concerns due to its impact on public welfare and legal implications.
