Bharat Summit 2025 to Bring Global Leaders Together in Hyderabad for Justice-Focused Dialogue
Over 450 global delegates from more than 100 countries, including prominent ministers, corporate leaders, policymakers, academics, and civil society members, will gather in Hyderabad for the Bharat Summit 2025, scheduled for April 25–26. Themed “Delivering Global Justice,” the summit marks the 70th anniversary of the Bandung Conference, which laid the foundation for the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM).
Organised by the Government of Telangana in collaboration with the Samruddha Bharat Foundation, the two-day summit aims to position Telangana as a modern hub of global thought leadership and multilateral dialogue.
Key Themes and Participants
The event will feature keynote addresses and in-depth discussions led by global policymakers, academics, and political leaders. Topics will span economic justice, climate justice, pluralism, diversity, and multilateralism with a strong emphasis on leveraging these frameworks for societal good.
At a press conference announcing the summit, Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, along with Minister for Industries Duddilla Sridhar Babu and senior AICC leaders including Salman Khurshid, Meenakshi Natarajan, and Gurdeep Sappal, unveiled the official logo and shared insights into the summit’s vision.
Leaders such as Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi are expected to attend the summit, underlining its political and international significance.
A Platform for Progressive Global Dialogue
“This summit will bring together over 450 global thought leaders, 100 progressive political parties, 50 MPs and senators, and close to 100 experts across sectors,” said Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka. He added that the summit seeks to evolve into a permanent global platform for progressive democratic dialogue.
Minister Sridhar Babu noted that the summit reflects Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s vision of ‘Telangana Rising’ and aims to attract global investors and entrepreneurs to the state. “This is more than an event; it’s a statement about Telangana’s readiness to shape global conversations,” he said.
Historical Legacy and Contemporary Purpose
Senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid highlighted India’s long-standing role in global affairs—from the Non-Aligned Movement to humanitarian leadership. He expressed hope that Bharat Summit will renew India’s legacy as a champion of global justice and peace.
Sam Pitroda, Chairperson of the Indian Overseas Congress, underscored the summit’s larger mission. “The world is witnessing democratic backsliding, economic inequality, and erosion of civil liberties. At this pivotal moment, India must once again assert a moral leadership that bridges divides and offers an inclusive alternative,” he said.
The event is expected to serve not only as a forum for global collaboration but also as a launchpad for a renewed progressive movement, uniting voices across the world for justice, equity, and democratic resilience.
