Andhra Pradesh Government Launches Mega DSC-2025 Recruitment Drive for 16,347 Teacher Posts
The Andhra Pradesh government has officially announced the commencement of the Mega DSC-2025 recruitment drive, with a notification released on Sunday by the Department of School Education. This large-scale recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 16,347 teacher positions across the state, offering a significant opportunity for aspiring educators.
Vijayaramaraju, the Director of School Education, issued an important clarification regarding the application process, particularly for married women candidates. He emphasized that applicants must use the surname exactly as it appears in their official documents when filling out the application forms.
The recruitment drive allows candidates to apply for multiple posts within a single application form, provided they meet the eligibility criteria. However, the rules specify that candidates cannot apply for the same post as both a local candidate in one district and as a non-local candidate in another district.
The Mega DSC-2025 drive has already garnered an overwhelming response, with over 22,000 applications submitted within just two days of its opening. Authorities anticipate that the total number of applications may exceed 600,000 by the application deadline, reflecting the high demand for teaching positions in the state.
The application window officially opened on Sunday, April 20, and will remain open until May 15, allowing candidates ample time to complete their application process and pay the required fees online. Model exams for the recruitment are scheduled to start on May 20, with hall tickets expected to be available by May 30. The main examination process will begin on June 6 and run through July 6.
This recruitment drive is expected to play a crucial role in addressing the staffing needs of schools across Andhra Pradesh, contributing significantly to the state’s education sector.
