Sake Sailajanath Appointed Singanamala Constituency Coordinator by YSR Congress Party
Senior political leader and former Andhra Pradesh Minister, Sake Sailajanath, has been appointed as the constituency coordinator for the Singanamala Assembly segment by the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP). This decision was announced by the party’s central office under the guidance of YSRCP president and former Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Sake Sailajanath, a seasoned politician with a history of representing the Singanamala constituency, previously served as a minister in the united Andhra Pradesh government. He was elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Singanamala in 2004 and 2009 on a Congress ticket. However, he faced defeats in the subsequent elections of 2014, 2019, and 2024. In 2022, he held the position of President of the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) .
In February 2025, Sailajanath formally joined the YSR Congress Party in the presence of Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. Following his induction, he expressed his readiness to work under Jagan Mohan Reddy’s leadership and criticized the coalition government for its unfulfilled promises .
The appointment of Sailajanath as the Singanamala constituency coordinator is seen as a strategic move by the YSRCP to strengthen its presence in the region, leveraging his political experience and local influence.
This development is expected to have significant implications for the political landscape in the Singanamala constituency and the broader Anantapur district.
