Operation Sindoor: Indian Armed Forces Strike Terror Targets; Congress Leaders Applaud
Operation Sindoor, launched by the Indian Armed Forces to target terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), has been declared a resounding success. The operation, carried out with high precision, has received widespread praise, including from senior Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, who lauded the bravery and discipline of the Indian forces.
Rahul Gandhi took to social media to express his admiration for the armed forces, congratulating them on the success of Operation Sindoor. He wrote on X, “Proud of our armed forces. Jai Hind!”
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge also extended his appreciation to the Indian Armed Forces, emphasizing the country’s strong stance against terrorism emanating from Pakistan and PoK. In his post, Kharge stated, “India has a strong national policy against all forms of terrorism emanating from Pakistan and PoK. We are proud of our armed forces for striking at the terrorist camps in Pakistan and PoK. We salute their determination and courage.”
Kharge further stressed that since the deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, the Indian National Congress has been supportive of the government and the armed forces in taking decisive action against cross-border terrorism. “At this time, national unity and solidarity are crucial. The Indian National Congress stands with our armed forces. Our leaders have shown the way in the past. National interests are our highest priority,” he asserted.
The operation, which commenced in the early hours of Wednesday, was described by officials as a carefully planned, restrained, and firm military response. Nine high-value terrorist targets associated with groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba were successfully neutralized in the strike. The government clarified that the operation was precise and did not result in harm to civilians or damage to Pakistan’s military infrastructure.
This targeted action was undertaken in direct response to the horrific Pahalgam terror attack, which resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians, including one Nepali national. The operation was executed with the aim of ensuring accountability while maintaining restraint to prevent further escalation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and senior government officials closely monitored the operation’s progress throughout the night.
Operation Sindoor marks a significant and calculated step in India’s ongoing efforts to counter terrorism and maintain national security.
