Tragic Collision in Palnadu: Four Killed, Several Injured in Fatal Road Mishap
A devastating road accident in Palnadu district early Tuesday morning claimed the lives of four individuals and left several others seriously injured. The incident occurred near Shivapuram in Vinukonda mandal when a Bolero vehicle, transporting papaya fruits, was struck head-on by a speeding lorry coming from the opposite direction.
According to preliminary reports, the collision’s impact was so severe that three passengers died instantly. Another critically injured victim succumbed to injuries en route to the hospital. All the deceased have been identified as agricultural labourers from Gaddamidapalli village in Yerragondapalem mandal, Prakasam district. The victims were reportedly on their way to work when the tragedy struck.
The local police responded swiftly to the emergency, initiating rescue operations and transferring the injured to nearby hospitals. Authorities have registered a case and launched an investigation into the cause of the accident, including whether driver negligence or vehicle malfunction played a role.
The incident has cast a shadow of grief over Gaddamidapalli, as the small village mourns the sudden loss of its residents.
Expressing his condolences, State Minister Nara Lokesh said he was deeply pained by the accident. He extended sympathies to the bereaved families and instructed officials to ensure the injured receive top-quality medical attention. The Minister also assured that the state government will provide all necessary support and assistance to the affected families.
