The much-anticipated film Mega 157, starring megastar Chiranjeevi and helmed by acclaimed director Anil Ravipudi, is officially underway. Following a grand launch ceremony, the production team has confirmed that principal photography will begin soon. In a major update, the makers have announced the leading lady of the film: none other than Nayanthara.
Amid weeks of speculation, the casting of Nayanthara has now been formally confirmed through an announcement accompanied by a specially crafted promotional video. Known for her selective appearances in media promotions, the actress surprises fans by featuring in this teaser even before filming begins—adding a unique pre-release buzz to the project.
Directed in Ravipudi’s signature flamboyant style, the video features playful nods to Chiranjeevi’s iconic persona. In a standout moment, Nayanthara and Ravipudi strike the superstar’s trademark poses and conclude with the line, “Let’s dazzle this Sankranti.” Another highlight is the humorous yet nostalgic dialogue, “Hello Master… please give a slight right turn to the camera,” which has resonated well with fans.
Welcoming Nayanthara aboard, Chiranjeevi shared a warm message on social media: “Welcome to the hat-trick movie. It’s a pleasure working with her.” Mega 157 marks the third collaboration between the two stars, following the successful outings of Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and God Father.
With plans firmly in place, the team aims to wrap filming within the year and release the film during the Sankranti festival in 2026. The soundtrack, composed by Bheems, is expected to be a key highlight, promising foot-tapping music to complement the film’s festive release.
Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi has completed his work on Vishwambhara and is expected to team up with Dasara director Srikanth Odela for his next project, following the completion of Mega 157.
