Lookout Notices Issued for Ex-Minister Kodali Nani Amid Vigilance Probe
In a major twist to Andhra Pradesh’s political landscape, lookout circulars have been issued against former minister and senior YSR Congress Party leader Kodali Nani, intensifying scrutiny over ongoing allegations of misconduct.
The directive was issued by Krishna District Superintendent of Police Gangadhar, following a vigilance investigation into alleged irregularities involving the former legislator. The action comes after a formal complaint was lodged by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), expressing concerns that Kodali Nani may attempt to leave the country under the pretext of seeking medical treatment, while a probe is still underway.
According to sources, TDP State Executive Secretary Kanaparthi Srinivasa Rao approached the Director General of Police, requesting authorities to prevent Nani’s departure by seizing his passport and issuing lookout alerts at all exit points.
Responding to the complaint, law enforcement agencies have moved swiftly. Airports, seaports, and border checkpoints have been placed on high alert, with instructions to closely monitor and restrict any attempt by the former minister to travel abroad. Additionally, continuous surveillance will be maintained to track his movements domestically.
This development adds a new layer of tension to the already charged political atmosphere in Andhra Pradesh, with opposition leaders intensifying their demand for greater accountability and transparency from current and former public officials.
