Actor Manchu Manoj has broken his silence on the long-standing tensions within the Manchu family, revealing a personal story of separation, resilience, and hope. In a candid interview, Manoj shared that he has been living away from his family for nearly nine years—something well known to fans and followers in the Telugu film fraternity and beyond.
Recently, Manoj spoke about his wife’s new venture, a company called “Bommala,” where he actively contributes through his artistic talents and storytelling. Despite the challenges, he emphasized their commitment to living with dignity and self-respect. “Many people know what kind of person I am,” Manoj said, reflecting both pride and pain.
He revealed that the family had come together briefly during his wife’s pregnancy, but not everyone welcomed the reunion. Manoj also disclosed that students from a family-affiliated college approached him with grievances, which, according to him, were ignored by the elders. When he tried to raise these concerns, he was met with indifference and suspicion, questioning why he was involved at all.
Further complicating matters, Manoj alleged that cases have been filed against him and his wife by individuals connected to the educational institution. He expressed deep anguish over his wife being dragged into unrelated controversies, calling it a heartbreaking moment. “I am everything to her,” he said, underscoring the depth of their bond. Interestingly, Manoj clarified he has not initiated any legal action against anyone.
Acknowledging his occasional anger, Manoj explained it comes from a place of pain and frustration. He voiced a heartfelt desire to reconcile with his father, legendary actor Mohan Babu, and to see his daughter embrace her grandfather. Yet, he wrestles with the dilemma of accepting blame for things he insists he did not do—an important principle instilled in him by his father, which he believes has kept them apart.
Despite the turmoil, Manoj remains hopeful. He prays daily for family unity and wishes that those responsible for the discord recognize their mistakes and open the door to healing.
