In a remarkable blend of nostalgia and technology, a digitally recreated video of TDP founder and former Chief Minister Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) captivated audiences at the Mahanadu event. The AI-generated video, which runs for approximately five minutes, showcased NTR delivering a powerful message to Telugu communities across both Telugu states and abroad.
The video, unveiled as part of the Telugu Desam Party’s annual conclave, highlighted the party’s journey and evolution. From the inception of the Telugu Desam Party, to the dynamic governance of N. Chandrababu Naidu, and the emerging leadership of Nara Lokesh, the virtual NTR walked viewers through decades of political milestones.
In his speech, the virtual NTR recalled his own contributions to unifying Hyderabad and Secunderabad through the creation of Tank Bund, and credited Chandrababu Naidu for ushering in a new era by transforming Cyberabad into a global tech hub.
“Have you ever dreamed of earning a salary in lakhs? It was the TDP government that made such dreams a reality,” said the recreated NTR, reflecting the party’s legacy in job creation and economic empowerment. He lauded Nara Lokesh for championing youth empowerment, stating, “I once dreamt of nurturing youth power. Today, my grandson Lokesh is turning that dream into reality by giving priority to young people and shaping their future.” The AI avatar emotionally added, “You’ve come from the sky… well done, my grandson, well done.”
The video also spotlighted landmark projects such as Amaravati and Polavaram, key welfare schemes, and the forward-looking Swarnandhra Vision–2047, introduced by Chandrababu Naidu. NTR praised the P4 Plan (People, Partnership, Performance, Prosperity), calling it “a miracle in planning and execution.”
The innovative use of AI to resurrect NTR’s voice and persona not only moved party cadres and leaders but also reinforced the party’s connection with its historic roots and its futuristic aspirations.
