Former Gannavaram MLA and YSR Congress Party leader Vallabhaneni Vamsi, currently in judicial custody over multiple legal cases, has been shifted to Ayush Hospital in Vijayawada following a decline in his health condition. Vamsi, who has reportedly been battling respiratory complications, had appealed to the court for medical care—a request that was granted by the Andhra Pradesh High Court.
Acting on the court’s directive, jail authorities, accompanied by police security, transferred Vamsi from the Vijayawada District Jail to the hospital for advanced treatment and diagnostic evaluation. Sources indicate that his condition had been deteriorating over the past few days, prompting the urgent shift.
However, the scene at the hospital quickly turned chaotic. As Vamsi was being wheeled in for treatment, media personnel gathered outside attempted to capture footage, resulting in a heated exchange with hospital staff.
