As the NDA government at the Centre, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the coalition government in Andhra Pradesh mark their first anniversary on June 4, Jana Sena Party chief and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has called for statewide celebrations to commemorate the milestone. In a statement released on Sunday, Pawan Kalyan likened the day to a fusion of Sankranti and Diwali, urging party workers, leaders, and supporters to celebrate with festive fervor.
“Decorate homes with garlands, organize cultural and traditional competitions for women, light diyas, and burst firecrackers in the evening to symbolize the joy of completing one successful year of governance after the defeat of the YSR Congress Party,” he said.
He also emphasized the importance of a digital campaign, encouraging supporters to post photos and videos of the celebrations on social media platforms to showcase public enthusiasm and unity.
Pawan Kalyan’s appeal comes at a symbolic moment for the state, highlighting both the political shift and the aspirations for a new era of governance. The proposed celebrations are aimed not just at marking a calendar date, but also at reinforcing public engagement and the momentum of the NDA-led alliance in Andhra Pradesh.
