Veteran Telugu actor Nagarjuna Akkineni is personally reaching out to top political and film personalities across the Telugu states as preparations gather momentum for the wedding of his younger son, Akhil Akkineni.
Following a recent meeting with Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Nagarjuna arrived in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday to extend a formal wedding invitation to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
Nagarjuna visited the CM’s official residence in Undavalli, where he was received warmly. In photos shared with the media, the actor and the Chief Minister are seen engaging in a cordial and cheerful conversation. Nagarjuna formally invited Naidu to attend Akhil’s wedding reception, which is set to take place on June 6.Sources indicate that Nagarjuna is also expected to meet Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan in the coming days as part of his invitation tour.
With longstanding personal ties across political lines, many are curious whether former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, with whom Nagarjuna has shared a friendly rapport, will also receive a formal invitation. So far, however, Chandrababu Naidu has taken precedence, reflecting Nagarjuna’s close ties with the current government leadership. The highly anticipated wedding will see Akhil Akkineni tie the knot with fiancée Zainab Ravdjee in what is expected to be a grand yet elegant ceremony attended by film and political luminaries from across India.
As celebrations approach, Nagarjuna’s personal involvement in the invitations underscores the Akkineni family’s stature and goodwill within both cinema and political circles in the Telugu states.
