Telangana’s Industries and IT Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to fostering industrial growth and creating employment opportunities for youth, as he inaugurated the Global Value Center (GVC) of US-based Evergent Technologies in Nanakramguda on Tuesday. Speaking at the event, Sridhar Babu highlighted the state’s strategic focus on innovation-driven growth under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s leadership.
“In the past 18 months, Telangana has attracted ₹3 lakh crore in investments. Our vision is to transform Telangana into a hub for cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Quantum Computing,” the minister said. As part of this vision, the government is planning to establish an AI City spread across 200 acres within the Future City development zone.
Sridhar Babu also addressed the persistent gap between industry demands and academic output, noting that although nearly two lakh engineering graduates pass out every year in the state, many lack industry-relevant skills. “To bridge this gap, we have established Young India Skills University, which will align educational outcomes with evolving industrial needs,” he explained.
The newly launched Evergent Technologies GVC currently employs 600 professionals, with plans to scale the workforce to 1,000 in the near future. The center is expected to play a key role in Evergent’s global operations, particularly in the fields of telecom and digital service management.
The inauguration was attended by several dignitaries, including Central Special Economic Council South Commissioner Bhavanishree, IT Advisor Sai Krishna, and Evergent Technologies Founder and CEO Vijay Sajja.
