Jana Sena Celebrates One Year of NDA Rule in Andhra Pradesh as a Festival of Democracy
Marking the first anniversary of the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) electoral triumph in Andhra Pradesh, the Jana Sena Party on Wednesday transformed the occasion into a vibrant celebration of “good governance.” Party cadres across the state, responding to a call by party chief and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, commemorated the day with cultural fervor and patriotic pride under the banner “Suparipalana Modalai Edadi” — One Year Since Good Governance Began.
Festivities reflected the spirit of Sankranti, symbolizing renewal and progress. Streets were adorned with colorful rangoli as women participated enthusiastically in the artistic displays. Traditional Bhogi fires lit across towns added warmth to the celebrations, invoking a sense of unity and change.
Outside the party headquarters, key women leaders joined in the Rangavallulu, showcasing the grassroots engagement Jana Sena has cultivated. Similar scenes unfolded across all districts, making it a statewide celebration of political transformation. Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar and Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh visited Pawan Kalyan to personally congratulate him on the party’s pivotal role in the historic victory.
Taking to social media platform X, Pawan Kalyan hailed June 4, 2024, as a landmark in Indian politics. “It marks a year of people’s revolution, the protection of democracy, and the triumph of a united NDA. It is the day the people used their vote to end five years of chaotic rule and dismantled a feudalistic stronghold,” he said.
Kalyan emphasized that the electorate gave a decisive mandate not just for change, but for a shared vision led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. He credited the unwavering commitment of Jana Sena party workers who had been fighting for systemic change over the past decade.
The Deputy Chief Minister reaffirmed the NDA’s collective mission: to restore governance, drive development, and prepare Andhra Pradesh for its pivotal role in Swarnandhra 2047 and Viksit Bharat 2047. “We view this mandate as a responsibility, not a reward,” he said, promising continued dedication to public welfare and progress. He also extended heartfelt thanks to party leaders and workers from Jana Sena, TDP, and BJP, acknowledging their united effort in scripting this political milestone.
