KTR Steps In to Support Family of Deceased BRS Activist Stranded Abroad
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has once again demonstrated his commitment to party members and their families, intervening personally to ensure the safe repatriation of a deceased BRS activist’s body from Saudi Arabia.
Vislawat Babya, a resident of Hemlanayak Thanda in the Shadnagar constituency of Rangareddy district, was a devoted supporter of BRS and its founder K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR). A farmer by profession, Babya actively participated in party programs and grassroots efforts. However, due to financial constraints following the change in government, he left for Saudi Arabia a year ago in search of livelihood. Tragically, he suffered a fatal heart attack on May 27 while abroad.
The unexpected death left Babya’s family in anguish, compounded by the bureaucratic challenges of repatriating his body from Saudi Arabia—a process often complicated by stringent foreign regulations. As their hope began to fade, former MLA Anjaiah Yadav brought the matter to the attention of KTR. Despite being on an overseas trip himself, KTR immediately took action. He contacted Indian diplomatic officials and facilitated the necessary coordination with the embassy. He also remained in regular communication with Anjaiah Yadav, personally monitoring the progress of the repatriation effort.
Thanks to KTR’s timely intervention and coordination with Indian authorities, Vislawat Babya’s body was flown back to Telangana and reached his native village late at night. His family was able to perform the final rites with dignity, surrounded by community members and loved ones. The bereaved family expressed deep gratitude to KTR and Anjaiah Yadav for their swift and compassionate support during an emotionally devastating time.
KTR’s gesture has resonated widely among party cadres, reaffirming his reputation as a leader who stands by his people—not only in politics but also in times of personal crisis.
