Aksharaa Haasan Warns Industry and Public About Individual Falsely Claiming Association with Her Family
Actress Aksharaa Haasan, the younger daughter of legendary actor and filmmaker Kamal Haasan, has issued a public alert warning against an individual allegedly misusing her name and that of her family to fraudulently promote film projects. Taking to her official Instagram account on Thursday, Aksharaa revealed that a man named Ibrahim Akhtar has been falsely claiming affiliation with her and her family, stating that they are involved in producing film projects and operating from an office in Ooty.
“To my fellow fraternity members,” Aksharaa wrote, “please be informed that a person named Ibrahim Akhtar is falsely using my name and my family’s name, claiming we are involved in producing projects and operating from an office in Ooty.”
Firmly refuting these claims, she emphasized that her family has no connection whatsoever with the individual. “We are taking necessary legal steps to address this issue. Please remain cautious. Do not engage with or encourage him in any way,” she urged.Her post has drawn widespread attention from industry insiders, who applauded her transparency and swift response in preventing potential fraud.
Aksharaa, who made her acting debut in R. Balki’s Shamitabh alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush, recently celebrated the film’s 10-year anniversary. In a heartfelt note, she expressed deep gratitude to the film’s team for their belief in her and the lessons she learned during the project. “This film and the team will always stay dear to my heart and soul,” she wrote. In addition to her acting career, which includes roles in Vivegam (starring Ajith Kumar) and Kadaram Kondan (opposite Vikram), Aksharaa has also worked behind the scenes as an assistant director in her father’s upcoming film Sabaash Naidu.
