Pawan Kalyan Calls for Comprehensive Probe into Fire at Spiritual Village in Srikakulam
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has expressed deep concern over the recent fire incident at a spiritual temple in Kurma village, located in the Srikakulam district. The Deputy CM termed the incident as “unfortunate” and emphasized the need for a thorough investigation into the cause of the blaze.
The fire, which occurred three days ago, caused panic among devotees and resulted in the destruction of valuable religious scriptures. Kurma village, a settlement known for its spiritual lifestyle rooted in traditional practices, was established under the guidance of ISKCON and is home to people who choose to live without modern amenities, following a path of devotion and simplicity.
Speaking on the incident, Pawan Kalyan said,
“It is deeply saddening that the spiritual temple, a place of peace and devotion, has been destroyed by fire. Given the doubts surrounding the incident, the police must conduct a detailed investigation from all possible angles.”
He further called upon district authorities to assess the current situation in the village and offer the necessary support.
“This is not just a village; it is a symbol of traditional spiritual living. The residents dwell in mud houses, away from the mechanical lifestyle of modern society. Their way of life must be protected. We must prioritize the revival of this unique settlement,” he added.The Deputy CM’s response highlights the government’s commitment to preserving spiritual heritage and addressing the concerns of religious communities affected by unexpected tragedies.
