Andhra Pradesh Accelerates Rayalaseema’s Industrial Growth with Mega Investments by Reliance and G. Infra
Rayalaseema is rapidly emerging as an industrial hub, said Andhra Pradesh Minister for IT and Human Resources Development Nara Lokesh, as the state government announced the allotment of land for two major industrial projects—led by Reliance Consumer Products Ltd and G. Infra Precisions Ltd—promising transformative economic impact in the region.
Reliance to Set Up ₹1,622 Crore Beverages Plant in Kurnool
The state’s Industries and Commerce Department has issued orders to allocate land to Reliance Consumer Products Ltd, which will invest ₹1,622 crore to establish a mega beverages manufacturing unit at Orvakal, in Kurnool district.
Minister Nara Lokesh shared the development on social media platform X, emphasizing the government’s commitment to Rayalaseema’s development. He highlighted that the upcoming unit will produce carbonated drinks, fruit juices, and packaged water, creating 1,200 direct jobs for local residents.
According to the company’s timeline:
- Land acquisition will be completed by June 30, 2025.
- Construction is scheduled for completion by June 15, 2026.
- Commercial production is expected to commence from December 31, 2026.
As a Mega Project, Reliance has requested a special package of incentives, which was recently approved by the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB). The SIPB, chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, gave the green light to 19 investment proposals worth approximately ₹28,546 crore in its 7th meeting held on June 19. These projects have the potential to generate over 30,000 jobs across Andhra Pradesh.
G. Infra Precisions to Set Up ₹1,150 Crore Defense Manufacturing Unit in Anantapur
In another major development for the region, G. Infra Precisions Ltd has received state approval to establish a bi-modular charge systems manufacturing plant at Timmasamudram village, in Anantapur district.
The Andhra Pradesh government has allocated 121.53 acres of land for the project at a rate of ₹8.30 lakh per acre through an official Government Order (GO).
The company plans to begin production within 14 months of land acquisition and is expected to create 299 direct jobs. The facility is seen as a key addition to India’s growing defense manufacturing ecosystem.

These projects reflect the state government’s strategic focus on turning Rayalaseema into a center for industrial and economic growth. With major corporate players investing in diverse sectors—from consumer goods to defense manufacturing—the region is set to witness unprecedented employment generation and infrastructure development.
Minister Nara Lokesh reiterated the government’s vision:
