Hombale Films Unveils ‘Mahavatar Narsimha’ Promo, Launches India’s First Vishnu Avatar Animation Universe
Mumbai – Hombale Films, one of India’s premier production houses known for delivering high-budget cinematic blockbusters, has announced its foray into the world of Indian mythology-inspired animation with the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe (MCU). Partnering with Kleem Productions, the ambitious animated franchise will chronicle the ten divine incarnations (Dashavatara) of Lord Vishnu.
The universe kicks off with ‘Mahavatar Narsimha’, whose promo was officially unveiled today, offering a first glimpse into this visually rich mythological epic.
The promo focuses on the tyranny of the demon king Hiranyakashipu, capturing the dark, oppressive tone of the era and setting the stage for the eventual emergence of Lord Narasimha. With stunning visuals, powerful background narration, and an epic treatment of the source material, the teaser signals a bold new chapter in Indian animation and storytelling.
Directed by Ashwin Kumar and produced by Shilpaa Dhawan, Kushal Desai, and Chaitanya Desai, Mahavatar Narsimha is slated for a grand 3D release on July 25, 2025, in all South Indian languages as well as Hindi.
Industry watchers say the film could redefine how Indian mythology is presented to younger generations, combining animation technology with deep-rooted spiritual narratives. This project marks a significant step in creating an indigenous mythological cinematic universe that rivals Western franchises in scale and ambition, while rooted firmly in Indian tradition.
