Former Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi met YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy in Tadepalli on Thursday, a day after being released from jail. Accompanied by his wife, Vamsi visited Jagan at his residence to express gratitude for the support extended during his legal ordeal.
According to a statement released by the YSRCP chief’s office, Vamsi explained that he had been jailed for 140 days in connection with 11 cases filed against him and alleged that there were deliberate efforts to deny him bail. He thanked Jagan for standing by him during the challenging period.
Later in the day, Vamsi visited the Gannavaram and Atkur police stations, where he appeared before the respective SHOs and a magistrate as per court directives. He submitted the required sureties in connection with the cases registered against him. After completing the formalities, he returned to his residence in A. Seetharampuram. Earlier, Vamsi was visited by former minister Perni Venkataramaiah (Perni Nani) and former MLA Kyle Anil Kumar, who extended their support.
Jagan Leaves for Bengaluru Again
In a related development, YSRCP president Jagan Mohan Reddy returned to Bengaluru on Thursday. He had come to Tadepalli from Bengaluru on Monday night and was initially scheduled to visit jailed former minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy in Nellore on Thursday. However, the Nellore visit was canceled, and he proceeded to Bengaluru instead.
