The health condition of former Telangana Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), who was admitted to Yashoda Hospitals, Somajiguda, on July 3, remains stable, according to an official medical bulletin.

The 71-year-old leader was hospitalized after experiencing general weakness, and initial tests indicated high blood sugar levels and low sodium levels. Doctors have since begun treatment to manage diabetes and restore electrolyte balance. All other vital parameters are reportedly within normal limits.

KCR is under close observation by a team of specialists. This marks the second major health issue in recent months for the BRS chief, who previously underwent hip replacement surgery in December 2023 after a fall at his farmhouse in Erravalli. His daughter and BRS MLC K. Kavitha visited the hospital on Friday to check on his condition.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy also enquired about KCR’s health. According to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office, Revanth Reddy spoke with hospital authorities and requested that the best possible medical care be provided. He conveyed his wishes for KCR’s speedy recovery and return to public service.

Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy expressed similar sentiments, posting on social media platform X: “Wishing speedy and full recovery of KCR garu.”

Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar also extended his prayers for the former chief minister’s recovery and urged the state government to ensure the best treatment is administered.
