Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) chief and former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) has urged party leaders to intensify grassroots activism, especially in support of farmers suffering under the current Congress-led government in Telangana. Returning to his Nandinagar residence on Saturday after being discharged from Yashoda Hospital, KCR was greeted by a steady stream of party leaders and supporters from across the state.

Meeting with senior leaders from Palamuru and other districts — including former ministers Singireddy Niranjan Reddy, Laxma Reddy, MLC Naveen Kumar Reddy, and former MLAs Jaipal Yadav, Guvvala Balaraju, and Ala Venkateswar Reddy — KCR emphasized that public service, not power, must remain the party’s core focus.

He noted that 90% of work on the Palamuru–Ranga Reddy Lift Irrigation Project was completed during the BRS tenure, and urged the cadre to mount pressure on the government to finish the remaining work without delay. Dismissing the Congress government’s gestures as “temporary appeasement,” he called on BRS leaders to remain present among the people, voicing their real concerns consistently.

Medical Update: One Week of Rest Advised

KCR had been admitted to Yashoda Hospital on Thursday with a minor illness. Following a two-day observation and a series of medical tests, doctors noted improved health and rising sodium levels. He has been advised a week of rest and is likely to return for follow-up tests next Thursday and Friday. Despite his condition, sources say KCR remained actively engaged in discussions on state issues with senior party members from the hospital itself.

A Warm Reception at Nandinagar

After his return, KCR’s residence was abuzz with activity, as BRS leaders, grassroots activists, and admirers gathered to greet him. Many discussed the benefits of yoga with him, while others updated him on the ground realities faced by farmers in various districts. Throughout, KCR was seen greeting visitors patiently and attentively, showing continued interest in public welfare.

Party insiders say the former Chief Minister is determined to remain active in shaping Telangana’s political future, particularly by holding the government accountable for its commitments to farmers and irrigation development.
