Hyderabad: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is slated to partake in a roadshow scheduled to be conducted in the Old City of Hyderabad.
The roadshow, scheduled for 5 pm on May 1, will traverse through Gowlipura within the Charminar Assembly constituency.
Amit Shah’s involvement in the roadshow is in support of Madhavi Latha, the BJP candidate contesting for the Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency. This marks a significant occurrence as it represents the first instance of a prominent BJP leader participating in an election rally in the Old City.
During a recent election rally address, Amit Shah articulated the BJP’s stance, indicating that if the party secures power at the Centre, it intends to revoke the four job reservations designated for Muslims in Telangana. Instead, reservations would be allocated to the Backward Classes (BC), Scheduled Caste (SC), and Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities.
The Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency encompasses seven assembly segment areas: Malakpet, Karwan, Goshamahal, Charminar, Chandrayangutta, Yakutpura, and Bahadurpura. Since 2004, the constituency has been represented by AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi.
With the 2024 general elections drawing near, BJP leaders, including Amit Shah, have commenced participating in roadshows in Hyderabad as the party endeavors to secure victory in the Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat
